  • Has a 12-25 overall record in three seasons, including a 6-5 mark in 2019.
  • Named AFCA-NAIA Region 3 Co-Coach of the Year in 2019.
  • In four seasons, Sallay has had 50 all-conference performers, including 18 1st team and 20 second team selections.
  • He has had three AFCA-NAIA All-America selections including Andrew Rupcich who was named to the first team in 2019 and 2020.
  • He has had one Heart Freshman of the Year (Andrew Rowe in 2019)
  • Off the field, he has coached 15 Daktronics/NAIA Scholar-Athletes, including 14 in 2019.
  • Spent 11 years at the University of Saint Francis (Ill.), the last two as defensive coordinator.
  • Named Mid-States Football Association Midwest League Assistant Coach of the Year in 2015.
  • Coached special teams during his first nine years at USF.
  • Guided special teams unit in 2012 that produced 10 two-point conversions - the most in the NAIA.
  • Prior to USF, spent four years coaching football and basketball at Bloom Township High School in Chicago Heights, Ill.
  • Spent one year as head freshman baseball coach at Lincoln-Way Central High School.
  • Started coaching career at Highland High School in Ewing, Mo.
  • Earned master's degree in special education from University of Phoenix in 2005; and in administration from Concordia University in 2006.
  • Earned a bachelor's degree in education from Culver-Stockton in 2001.
  • Graduated from Thornton Fractional North High School in 1997.
