Coach October is entering his second season as the Ottawa Redblack's receivers coach.

The former CFL-er comes to Ottawa fresh of coaching the receivers at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, which followed five years as receivers coach at the Virginia Military Institute.

October’s experience with the Canadian game goes back to 1999 when signed on with the Montreal Alouettes. He would go on to win a Grey Cup with the Edmonton Eskimos where he played under current Redblacks Head Coach Rick Campbell.

During his collegiate career, October starred for the University of Richmond Spiders where he was a four-time All-Atlantic 10 defensive back.

The Guyana-born October now lives in Ottawa with his wife and two daughters.
