Biography
Tyler Hughes enters his first season as an Offensive Assistant with the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2025.
He was the New England Patriots wide receivers coach in 2024, rejoining the organization after spending a season serving as an analyst on offense for the Washington Huskies. During 2023, the Huskies finished with a 14-1 record, a No. 2 national ranking and played in the College Football National Championship.

Hughes previously spent three seasons (2020-22) with the Patriots as an offensive assistant. Prior to joining New England, Hughes served as the head coach for two seasons (2018-19) at Bountiful High School in Utah. Prior to that position, he spent three seasons (2014-16) as the head coach of the Division II Minot State in North Dakota.
Hughes came to Minot State after spending the 2013 season at Ohio State, where he served as a quality control assistant and also worked with the quarterbacks. Prior to Ohio State, Hughes spent nine seasons at Snow College, a member of the NJCAA, in Ephraim, Utah. Hughes was the head coach during the 2011 and 2012 seasons, the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach from 2005-10 after being hired as the wide receivers and tight ends coach in 2004. As the head coach at Snow, Hughes led the team to a 20-4 overall record, two bowl game championships and one conference title. In addition, Hughes was named the WSFL Coach of the Year in 2012 following an 11-1 season and a No. 3 national ranking.
PERSONAL
As a player, Hughes started at wide receiver for Snow College. He and his wife, Lisa, have four sons, Kenyon, Isaac, Will and Max.
